Katherine“Kate” Muth has been executive director of the International Mailers’ AdvisoryGroup (IMAG), a trade association representing the interests of the U.S.international mailing and shipping sector, since 2014. IMAG’s core mission isto address barriers to the efficient flow of information and goods acrossborders.

Prior toIMAG, Kate was Vice President of the Association for Postal Commerce in the mid-2000s,and she served as the editor of the award-winning trade publication Business Mailers Review for nearly adecade. She is a regular speaker at industry events and has contributedarticles to a range of industry publications, including Mail and ExpressReview and Mailing Systems Technology.

Kate is also the president of Muth Communications, a small business that provides a wide range of editorial and communication services to clients, focusing on consulting, technical writing, trade reporting, white papers, and editing. She specializes in postal and logistics issues, but she has also served clients in the energy and biotechnology industries. She has written promotional material for the annual cycling races in Arlington, VA, and she has had poetry published in small literary publications. She is a graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati.

Martin Palmer has spent more than 40 years demonstrating that Customs and compliance are not just necessary, they can be genuinely engaging and commercially valuable. With a career spanning global logistics, distribution, and international trade compliance, he brings both depth and practical insight to one of the most complex areas of international business.

He has held senior leadership roles, including Global Export Controls and Customs Director at TNT Express, where he was responsible for shaping and implementing global compliance strategies.Today, he focuses on building smarter solutions and advising organisations on how to embed compliance into everyday operations, transforming it from a last-minute obligation into a strategic advantage.

Martin is Co-Founder and Board Member of Hurricane Modular Commerce Ltd, a company focused on simplifying cross-border eCommerce classification and compliance through innovative technology. He is also the founder of Supply Chain Compliance Ltd, where he supports businesses in integrating trade compliance seamlessly into their operational frameworks.

Beyond his commercial work, Martin has collaborated with NGOs, enforcement agencies, and intergovernmental organisations to address critical global challenges, including illicit trade, counter-proliferation, and wildlife trafficking. His experience across these areas provides a rare, end-to-end perspective on risk, governance, and responsibility in international trade.

His expertise spans export controls, intellectual property rights, anti-corruption, and customs security programmes, giving him a comprehensive view of compliance in both policy and practice.
